Highland Park shooter sentenced to life in prison without parole

Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard attorney Lance D. Northcutt represents the surviving toddler of parents Kevin and Irina McCarthy, who were both killed in the Highland Park Fourth of July shooting. Following the sentencing, Mr. Northcutt issued a statement and provided details on the next steps in the civil suit.

Cook County jury awards $10.5 million to husband of kindergarten teacher struck, killed by dump truck

While stopped at an intersection riding her bicycle to work, Sylwia Jarosz was struck and killed by a speeding dump truck. At the time of the collision, the driver of the truck did not have the proper license to operate the vehicle. The family was represented at trial by attorneys Lance D. Northcutt, Jennifer L. Ashley and Emily T. Art.

Peoria hospital admits negligence for leaving dangerous sutures inside multiple patients following surgery

Multiple additional patients are victims of the same error, and several lawsuits are pending, including a case filed by Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard. Methodist Hospital admitted negligence in February 2025 but has so far declined to offer any explanation as to how these errors occurred, or what steps they have taken to ensure the error does not happen again.
